Foreign Media: Russia Intends to Significantly Increase Its Oil Exports to China
Sina news, Beijing time Monday morning, Reuters said, three industry sources said that Rosneft, Russia's biggest oil company, wants to raise as much as 18 million tonnes (36,000 barrels per day) of oil from Kazakhstan to China. The supply for 2017 is about 10 million tons.
At present, Russia is cutting oil production when it follows the global production reduction agreement, this huge increase could have a significant impact on Russia's oil supply to Europe's Urals.
Igor Sechin, Rosneft's chief executive, wants to raise its oil supply to 13 million tonnes a year, it could be further raised to 18 million tonnes, a person familiar with the Russian oil program said the government has not yet made a decision.
The person did not say when the supply would be raised.
"This means that oil supplies to Europe will be greatly reduced," the person added.
Two other oil industry sources confirmed the plan of Rosneft.
